We are seeking a new postdoctoral researcher to join our team to explore the cis-regulatory landscape of plant genomes. Recent discoveries of prevalent long-distance transcriptional regulation in plants resulted from the development of technologies that enable multilayered and comprehensive studies of epigenomes. We have since established both single cell RNA and chromatin accessibility assays in plant cells across numerous diverse species and genotypes, which has provided us with unprecedented coverage, resolution and throughput to pinpoint cis-regulatory elements underlying important crop traits. Our efforts in understanding the mechanisms of proximal and distal cis-regulation is providing a holistic view of transcriptional regulatory network and is guiding precise genome-editing of r
