Research Geneticist (Plants)/Plant Physiologist GS-0440;0435-12/13
The USDA, ARS, Genetic Improvement of Fruits and Vegetables Laboratory located at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville, MD is seeking a permanent, full-time Research Geneticist (Plants)/Plant Physiologist. The candidate will lead a multi-state research program on abiotic stress tolerance in blueberry and cranberry. Fundamental and applied research will be conducted to elucidate the physiological and molecular bases for plant responses to high and low temperature stress and sub-optimal soil pH and develop novel abiotic stress management strategies, including identification and/or development of stress-tolerant plants.
