Post-Doc Position in Protein Kinase Biochemistry
Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral (Research Associate) position available in plant biochemistry at Michigan State University in the laboratory of Dr. Peter K. Lundquist. We study the function and formation of plastoglobule lipid droplets of chloroplasts which are highly relevant to plant stress responses and play an active role in membrane remodeling and numerous lipid metabolic pathways. Our recent results have demonstrated that the members of the ABC1K atypical protein kinase family are active protein kinases with unique regulatory features (doi: 10.1016/j.jbc.2022.101762). We are now initiating a five-year project to systematically investigate the functions and substrates
