Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Plant Physiology, Clemson University, SC
One Postdoctoral fellowship and one Ph.D. assistantship are available in the area of plant physiology in Tharayil lab (https://www.clemson.edu/cafls/faculty_staff/profiles/ntharay) at Clemson University, Clemson, SC. The successful candidates will work on the cellular-level physiology of stress adaptations in crops and the root exudate-mediated chemical signaling that facilitates plant-microbiome associations in the rhizosphere. We are particularly interested in recruiting researchers with a strong background (aptitude) in whole plant physiology and mass spectrometry-based metabolomics or proteomics approaches to elucidate the cellular physiology regulating plant-environment interactions.
