One postdoctoral researcher position is available in Dr. Polly Hsu’s laboratory at Michigan State University to investigate translational regulation and RNA subcellular localization in Arabidopsis. Candidates interested in translational regulation, RNA biology, or cell biology are encouraged to apply.
The Hsu lab has recently identified candidate RNA features that provide translational control important for plant development and abiotic stress using ribosome profiling (Hsu et al. 2016 PNAS; Wu et al. 2019 Plant Physiology). Built on our preliminary results, the candidate will study molecular mechanisms involved in translational control and RNA localization involved in plant growth and stress response.
