Pioneer and global leader in the innovation and manufacturing of sensor medical devices is seeking a Senior Engineer to develop new, as well as improve existing, products at their Houston, TX headquarters.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a cross departmental team and provide project management training.
Plan, schedule and complete assigned projects in a timely manner following federal requirements.
Determine and establish project requirements, specifications and guidelines through engineering research, calculations and layouts.
Prepare product specification documents, cost estimates, reports, proposals and presentations.
Create design drawings, material analysis, schematics and tolerance computations.
Compose test protocols, memos, reports and technical procedure manuals.
Design, build and implement specialized micro machining and fabrication equipment.
Identify and implement product and process improvements performing root cause analysis.
Primary Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years engineering experience, preferably in medical devices.
2+ years managing an engineering team.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project, Labview, MiniTab, SolidWorks, Auto Cad, Eagle, Orcad or similar software.
Experience developing a product from concept to full production release.
Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820, ISO-13485, AAMI BP-22, AAMI NS-28 is preferred.
