POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIOLOGICAL NITROGEN FIXATION UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, DAVIS
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Eduardo Blumwald in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of California at Davis. The successful candidate will be part of a team studying mechanisms associated with the interaction between nitrogen-fixing bacteria and rice landraces, using a multidisciplinary approach combining Physiology, Biochemistry, Transgenic plants and bacteria, Gene Expression and Chemical Genomics. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Biochemistry or related fields. Candidates with experience in plant-microbe interactions would be preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with other scientists are required. The position is available immediately.
